BSc Politics and Economics
Purposeful, perseverant, determined
My background in academics has always been multi-disciplinary in focus. I studied 14 subjects at GCSE, 4 at A-Levels, and now continue on in a joint honours degree in Politics and Economics at the LSE. From this, I developed an exceptional aptitude for problem conceptualization and solution engineering rooted in interdisciplinary thinking: my approach to both learning and teaching is founded upon drawing holistic insights across disciplines, and applying them in meaningful capacity within subject-specific demands. My achievements, spanning academic scholarships, GCSE subject prizes (History, Latin, English Language and Chemistry), the Wattell Latin Prize, and a High Distinction in the John Locke Essay Competition (2023) drives my extensive experience in university and super-curricular advisory and subject-specific tutoring. I focus specifically on personal statement and application advisory established upon a results-oriented approach. I strongly believe in aligning degree aspirations to long-term sector aspirations in order to maximise utility of effort spent towards fundamental goals. I believe in encouraging individual learning and providing students with the tools and insights to succeed, rather than forcing the adoption of rigid strategies. Consequently, I help develop the transferrable skills to succeed and teach how to think, rather than what to think.
