Get to know Alex:

I am passionate about Geography as a discipline that bridges the gap between global governance, sustainability, and economic development. I specialize in global systems, climate change, demographics, and resource management, with a particular focus on sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies. My passion for Geography stems from its real-world relevance—understanding how resource distribution, environmental policies, and economic systems shape our world today. From analyzing how governance impacts climate resilience to exploring spatial inequalities in resource access, I am driven by the challenge of finding solutions to pressing global issues. Competing in the RGS Young Geographer of the Year competition reinforced my belief that Geography is not just about understanding the world—it’s about shaping its future through evidence-based policy and strategic intervention. My tutoring method focuses on critical thinking and interdisciplinary problem-solving. I challenge students to evaluate different stakeholder perspectives, applying case studies and real-world examples—from the depletion of the Aral Sea to precision farming innovations. My goal is to help students move beyond textbook learning, fostering holistic understanding, analytical depth, and intellectual curiosity, equipping them with the skills to excel academically and tackle real-world challenges.
